Jimmy Nomura
Director, Kameda Medical Center, Japan
I originally started my medical career as a urologist. I was interested in female urology, so I underwent training in obstetrics and gynecology for about three years. Currently, I practice in the field of female urology, taking advantage of my training in both departments. I practice patients with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, female voiding dysfunction especially refractory OAB and interstial cystitis, and vesico-vaginal fistula. I am familiar with various surgical methods such as conventional laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, vNOTES, transvaginal mesh surgery, and transvaginal non-mesh surgery. In particular, I perform the most pelvic organ prolapse (>350 case per year) and urinary incontinence (>200 case per year) surgeries in Japan, and I am also one of the leaders in laparoscopic vesicovaginal fistula repair in Japan.
