He is the current council member of Thai Urological Association (TUA) and is the former secretary general of TUA. He graduated from Ramathibodi hospital in 1996 with the second-class honors. He also passed the national urology board examination with the highest scores in 2002. He was the fellow in endourology, laparoscopic and robotic surgery at Singapore general hospital, Academic medical center (AMC) in Amsterdam and Vanderbilt university medical center in Nashville, TN, USA during 2004-2007. He published many articles in peer review journal including the Journal of Urology, Urology, Current Opinion in Urology, International Journal of Urology and Experimental Clinical Transplantation. He wrote the textbook of laparoscopic and robotic renal surgery (Thai) and won the Ramathibodi textbook project and Mahidol award in textbook writing. He is also a reviewer in journal Urologic Oncology. His academic work and service mainly involves in laparoscopic and robotic urological oncology (kidney, bladder and prostate) and kidney transplantation.

Dr. Isaac Yi Kim is currently the Professor and Chair, Department of Urology, Yale School of Medicine. He is an expert in minimally invasive robotic surgery and has completed more than 2,400 robotic surgeries for prostate cancer. His laboratory research interests include tumor microenvironment and androgen signaling in prostate cancer while clinical research programs focus on racial disparity as well as role of surgery in advanced and metastatic prostate cancer. He is the principal investigator of the international multi-institution clinical study on cytoreductive radical prostatectomy, SIMCAP.

He finished his residency at Yonsei University Severance Hospital and Neurourology and Female Urology Research Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He is the immediate past president of the Korean Continence Society and is actively serving as the President of the Korean Society for Urological Ultrasonography. Prof Kim conducts multiple research projects on functional urology including overactive and neurogenic bladders, benign prostatic hyperplasia, female urology and urological prosthetic surgery
